Swimmer Advancement Information
Curious about when your swimmer might move up to the next level? You're in the right place! We assess swimmer progress and make advancement decisions three times a year:
- September: At the start of the season
- January: After Winter Break
- March/April: At the end of the short course season
Key Considerations for Advancement:
- Age: Ensuring the swimmer is at the appropriate developmental stage.
- Ability: Evaluating skill level and performance.
- Commitment Level: Assessing dedication and consistency in training.
- Progress: Monitoring improvement over time.
- Attitude: Observing enthusiasm and sportsmanship.
- Coachability: Measuring responsiveness to coaching and feedback.
- Emotional Maturity: Understanding how well the swimmer handles the pressures and responsibilities of advancing.
